Simple Woman’s Daybook 7/20

20 Jul

from http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/
Something I am thinking of doing, about once a week, as a centering exercise and devotional activity for Hestia.  If you like it, let me know.

FOR TODAY
Outside my window…
I’m at work,  so way at the other end of the department, I can see the parking lot.  But it’s very sunny, and I’m grateful for air conditioning.

I am thinking…
Very hard about about sony vaio models, as I’m working on a replacement quote for one.
I am thankful…
that my husband is starting to go through books. He actually put 2 in the donate bin!

In the kitchen…
Creamy tomato and fresh basil  pasta with some sort of veggies, depending on time before I got to dance class.
I am wearing…
Jeans,  a peacock shirt, a blue open cardigan. Took my sandals off already.

I am creating…
the beginnings of two new choreographies. Probably will improv for the hafla, but starting work on Melek choreo for the october showcase.
I am going…
To dance class tonight, and the I will pass  out. Adjusting to my new schedule sucks.
I am wondering…
if I’ll have time and energy  to do a facemask tonight
I am reading…
The Affectionate Advesary by Georgette Heyer and The Age Of Innocence by Edith Wharton
I am hoping…
To make a bigger dent in my to be read pile this weekend
I am looking forward to…
Reorganizing the bookshelves over the weekend
I am hearing…
a podfic on my shuffle, and several phones ringing. Glass Company’s phones are constant.

Around the house…
We’ve had our doorknob fixed, I made cookies last night and I’m assembling recipes for next week
I am pondering…
How to fit everything into the rest of the week…
One of my favorite things…
Being under 1000 items in our work queue for the first time since May.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Organize the bookshelf, finishing cleaning out the upstairs rooms, drop donation boxes off, plan out next week. More dancing,  formally start choreography.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

I really like this as a Hestia devotional. Connects you to yourself (requiring the mental discipline) and connects you to your hearth (deeping the Hestia connection). I’m always struggling and revamping how I do daily (or daily-ish) devotionals.

That’s the plan! I should do it again either today or tomorrow, once I have a few uninterrupted moments.
