Monday Poetry

13 Sep

okay, this may not, strictly be a poem, but it serves the function for me.

“I know that I am mortal and the creature of a day;
but when I search out the massed wheeling circles of the stars, my feet no longer touch the earth,
but, side by side with Zeus himself, I take my fill of ambrosia, the food of the gods.”
Claudius Ptolemaeus (Ptolemy)

On tap this week: stealing my camera back to take pictures of my work altar, musings on simplicity and my home situation. I’m incredibly stressed due to training, but it’s going really well. This is going to be research heavy work with some fun bits. On Friday, I got to play with a meteorite!
